Core-clad wire is made of steel tape coated with alloy powder.According to the different alloy powder,can be divided into:silicon calcium core wire,silicon manganese calcium wire,silicon calcium barium wire,barium aluminum wire,aluminum calcium wire,calcium iron wire,pure calcium wire.Windings look like coils.Spherical cored wire is the product of banded steel covered by banded alloy powder.Because the coating powder is different,it can be divided into different uses.Steel-making cored wire is usually used as a deoxidizer,desulfurizer or carbon additive.Compared with traditional spheroidizing agents,core-spun yarns have unique advantages and disadvantages which are different from spheroidizing agents.
1.Core-coated wire spheroidizing cost is 10%lower than that of spheroidizing agent.A coil of spheroidized wire(2400 m)takes about 24 m to handle 1 ton.A roll can hold 100 tons of molten iron.One ton of spheroidizing agent can treat 83 tons of molten iron.
2.It is necessary to fill and weigh the spheroidizing agent.Half a day and a half of physical labor will occur in the operation process,such as drowsiness,fatigue and other factors.Cored wire does not need manual filling and weighing process,saving labor cost.
3.There is a dam at the bottom of the spheroidizer bag.After going through a dozen furnaces,it needs to be handled manually once.It requires half the physical labor that cored wire does not.
4.All data of feed spherification have been set and need not be changed at any time.Spheroidizing agent requires manual operation and is prone to error.The use of cored wire avoids losses caused by human error.
5.Spheroidization is easy to collect dust(the dust is sucked away in the process of spheroidization station),and the pollution is far less than that of spheroidization agent.It is more in line with the requirements of environmental protection.
6.After spheroidization,the spheroidization degree is high,the roundness of the graphite ball is high,and the number of graphite is much.
1.The time between spheroidization and pouring of core-coated wires should not exceed 13 minutes.Therefore,core-clad wires need more accurate control time than the casting time of spheroidizing agent.
2.The casting made of spheroidized thread is prone to pinhole and shrinkage.The cause is high magnesium.Therefore,it is necessary to select the appropriate magnesium content of cored wire according to the casting production situation.
